6. Star Trek: Voyager

In the roster of Star Trek crews, the team of Star Trek: Voyager finds itself comfortably sitting at the sixth spot on our ranking. Voyager aired for 7 seasons (and 172 episodes) on UPN netween 1995 and 2001, and its crew is pretty darn game-changing.

At the helm is the trailblazing Captain Kathryn Janeway, the franchise’s inaugural female captain, who commands both respect and admiration. The rest of the crew is made up of Commander Chakotay and Tuvok, Lieutenant Commander TomParis and B’Elanna Torres, Lieutenant Harry Kim, Lieutenant Tessa O’Halloran, Lieutenant Ayala, and Ensign Samantha Wildman.

Their journey, stranded in the far reaches of uncharted space and grappling with the challenge of finding their way home, inserts a nice dose of suspense and adventure into the series. While the show has quite a dedicated fanbase drawn to its female lead and unique narrative premise, it ranks slightly lower due to occasional lapses in pacing and character development (which leads to some questionable decision-making from this very crew).

Nevertheless, the Voyager crew manages to carve its own niche in the vast Star Trek galaxy and we love each and every one of them for making it happen.
