11 things nobody wants to admit about The Flash
8. The musical episode was one of The Flash’s very best
Three years into its run, The Flash finally did what fans had been asking for and gifted us all with a musical episode. Better yet, it was a crossover with Supergirl, meaning that two of the most musically-talented casts on television were going to get to showcase their voices, dance moves and overall theatricality in a wonderful musical adventure.
The main reason for the anticipation of this crossover was the fact that Grant Gustin and Supergirl‘s Melissa Benoist were on Glee together (where they showcased their amazing voices), and to say that it lived up to that anticipation would be an understatement.

Musical episodes aren’t for everyone, and you’ll surely find some people out there today still criticizing this episode because it wasn’t their cup of tea, but that doesn’t change the fact that “Duet” is one of the finest hours of television The Flash has ever produced. In fact, I’ll go one further and say it’s one of the best musical episodes in television history.
It wasn’t just worth the wait, it was practically perfect in every way.
