Every episode of Agatha All Along ranked from worst to best
2. "Death's Hand in Mine" (episode 7)
From the opening sequence of "Death's Hand In Mine", it was clear that we were in for an incredible experience. Lilia Calderu (who the show wanted us to believe was dead at this point) was falling through the air dressed like Glinda The Good Witch from The Wizard of Oz. It was wild, but it was oddly poignant; and that really set the tone for the episode that followed.
There is so much going on in this one that it's hard to know where to even begin. It jumps around through the timeline, starting with Billy and Agatha in the present before jumping back to Lilia and Jen under the Road, before going back even further to Lilia's childhood days with her original coven. The storytelling is intentionally a struggle to keep up with at the start, serving as a metaphor for Lilia's fractured mind, but in being so, it begins to put the pieces of the overarching puzzle together.
From exploring her concerns over being a forgotten woman to the the incredible sequence in which she reads for herself at the table, the long overdue focus on Lilia is worth the wait and the finished result is an absolute masterclass of a performance from Patti LuPone.
We knew this episode was going to be a great one based on the images of the cast dressed up like fairytale characters but we couldn't have imagined the phenomenal installment that would come. Everything about this, from the costuming to the storytelling was divine. Without question, this is one of Marvel's finest ever episodes of television.
