Walker

One thing we're going to say a lot of on this list is that 2022 was a rough year to be a DC fan, but it was also a rough year to be a CW fan. The legendary network cancelled half of its programming ahead of its sale to Nexstar, who then cancelled a whole lot more when they took over as new owners. The most recent decision they made was to end Superman and Lois - the network's joint-most-watched show; a title it holds with Walker.

Like Superman and LoisWalker was also renewed for a fourth season earlier this year. It's also significantly cheaper to produce, which means that it should be a safe bet for season 5. That being said, it doesn't film in Atlanta or Vancouver, which makes it more expensive than some of the classic CW TV shows on the network, and it also stars Jared Padalecki, who is a TV legend. Yes, it brings in high viewership, but so did Superman and Lois. Let's not forget that it's own spinoff, the brilliant Walker Independence, was cancelled this year after just one season of consistent viewership.

We're not saying that Walker will be cancelled in the coming year, but it's a strong possibility. It could be renewed for a fifth and final season, but it's only a matter of time until there are no longer any original CW TV shows left on The CW. And with the network moving in the direction of cheaper acquisitions, that day might be coming a little too soon.
