10. Lwaxana Troi (Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine)

Lwaxana Troi, the flamboyant matriarch from the universe of The Next Generation and Deep Space 9 is like that one aunt at family reunions who insists on wearing glittery dresses and tells embarrassingly loud stories – you either love her or you quickly find a very important excuse to be anywhere else.

Lwaxana, played by Majel Barrett, has a personality as subtle as a supernova. She bursts onto the scene with all the delicacy of a Klingon at a tea party. Her extravagant attire, booming voice, and unapologetic flirtations with the male crew members make her hard to ignore. Some fans find this over-the-top nature endearing while others feel like they've been hit by a phaser set to "annoy".

Imagine having a telepathic relative who not only reads your thoughts but also has no problems broadcasting them like the latest intergalactic tea. Awkward and annoying, right? Lwaxana does just that, often leaving the ever-stoic Captain Picard and others squirming in annoyance. Her inability to respect personal boundaries is the icing on the cake. While some viewers enjoy her presence as a welcome dose of unpredictability in the otherwise orderly Star Trek universe, others can't help but cringe every time she telepathically intervenes or swoops in, all dramatics and no subtlety, disrupting the calm of the Starship Enterprise.
