9 shows in danger of being canceled in 2024 including The Mandalorian

A number of shows will be ending in 2024 and we have a bad feeling The Mandalorian and these other hit shows could join that list.

Halo

Honestly, it's somewhat surprising that Halo even secured a second season given the reviews for the first season weren't exactly the best -- especially for a show with such a high production cost. Season 2 is coming soon, but there seems to be little buzz at all surrounding the show's upcoming season. That's never a good sign.

If interest and support for the show do not show signs of serious improvement in season 2, we have a feeling Halo could end up in danger and might be on the chopping block. We've seen Paramount+ cut shows loose when they've underperformed, even if based on popular IPs.

The Witcher

We don't quite know when The Witcher will be coming back with season 4, but one thing that we do know is there has been growing speculation among audiences about the show coming to an end shortly after.

Many believe The Witcher will end with season 5 due to the fact that each season of the show has been based on the book series and the show is quickly running out of source material. Four of the books in the franchise have already been adapted which just leaves Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and The Lady of the Lake.

The plan seems to be for the show to adapt the three books across a fourth and fifth season, which are expected to be filmed back to back to save money. Of course, nothing has been confirmed but we won't be surprised if the rumors turn out to be true.
