Nerdist Holding San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Contest

Nerdist decided to celebrate Pi Day by holding a two-week contest to get some lucky winner into San Diego Comic-Con 2014. By now, you should be aware that the annual convention is sold out. It happened just this morning, actually, and it only took about an hour and a half.

If you want to be one of the 130,000 awesome people who will be attending, and you know you do, then enter for a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip for two to San Diego Comic-Con, $500 spending cash (which will be terribly easy to splurge, by the way), entry into exclusive events and additional cool things that haven’t been announced yet. The contest is more than a simple entry form, though.

It’s a four-step process:

1. Sign up for Instagram if you haven’t already.
2. Follow Nerdist, Her Universe, and Hot Topic.
3. Make a 15 second or less video about Pi. It’s a a broad prompt, we know, but it could be anything from eating a whole pie to pieing someone in the face to explaining succinctly what Pi means to creating a Pi cosplay to literally anything else you can think of.
4. Post your video to Instagram and hashtag it #BeIrrational.

It isn’t a random drawing; your entries are being judged by a panel of folks, so creativity is key. That means that, yes, you will have to put a little bit of effort into it, but the rewards can be great. You have until 11:59 p.m. PST on March 31st to submit your entry and the lucky winner will be announced in early May.

Hope to see you there!
