Could We See Agent Coulson In Marvel’s Netflix Series?

If the man who’s made him so famous that Marvel added him into its comic book continuity has anything to say about it, we will. Clark Gregg recently talked to Movie Pilot about his second stint as writer/director with the movie Trust Me, but the conversation inevitably turned to Agent Phil Coulson and where we might see him in 2015.

Gregg doesn’t think he’ll be featured in Avengers: Age of Ultron, saying “I think I would have heard about it by now,” but he is holding out hope that Coulson could show up in the Marvel shows being created for Netflix. Specifically, he’d really like to drop in on a certain martial arts master.

"I’d be really disappointed if I don’t get to show up in New York for Daredevil, or Iron Fist was a huge favorite of mind in comic books as a kid. I’ve had more than my share so I shouldn’t be greedy but it would be a huge geekout moment for me if I got to meet Daniel Rand."

Make it happen Marvel! At this point, fans are almost expecting that everything the company does in movies and TV will be connected in some way, and Coulson has often been used as a link (as has Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury). That said, keep your eyes peeled just in case Coulson does show up next year when Daredevil leads off the slate of Marvel Netflix shows.
