This week on Gotham, the city’s most notorious villains start to gather.

Last week on Gotham‘s “Heroes Rise: These Delicate and Dark Obsessions” episode, Frank agreed with the Court of Owls that Jim had to be persuaded to join them. Penguin and Ivy formed an alliance. And Bruce was forced to face the night of his parents’ murders.

The Court decided that Jim had to join them or be killed. Frank was eventually tasked with reaching out to him. In the end, Jim discovered that Frank was the one who put a hit out on Peter, Jim’s father.

Frank’s true intentions were also revealed. Ashamed and seeking redemption for Peter’s murder, Frank wanted Jim to take his place. Jim was left with no choice after Frank turned a gun on himself.

Penguin, nursed to health by Ivy, contacts Gabe. Little did Penguin know, Gabe resented him and  planned on selling him to the highest bidder. Ivy quickly gets into Penguin’s good graces when she uses her botanical skills to save him.

Bruce, waking up in his prison, discovers a mysterious old man forcing him to continuously relive the night of his parents’ murders. The old man finally reveals that Bruce’s destiny is to become a symbol of hope for Gotham.

This week, Jim will come face to face with the Court of Owls. Penguin will start amassing his army of freaks. And Bruce will start his training with his new enigmatic master. Here’s the official synopsis from Fox.
