Runaways

This Hulu series is also based on a Marvel comic and it's a pretty good watch. A pack of kids discovers their parents are a mix of criminals working on a secret plot to pave the way for an alien invasion. This leads them to discover their own abilities, from one becoming a witch to another discovering she’s half-alien. 

The action is fun and Season 3 amps it up with Elizabeth Hurley as the evil sorceress Morgan LeFay making some moves. There’s even a crossover with the forgotten Cloak & Dagger show. If you’re a Marvel fan who enjoys a magical ride, this show is right up your alley and deserves a watch.

Salem

This WGN America series plays on the famous historical witch trials in a fun way. It takes the idea that a real witch (Janet Montgomery) manipulates the hysteria of the trials to weaken the masses and allow her to gain power. Things get complicated when her former love (Shane West) comes to town and their old feelings threaten things. 

The show’s three-season run is a gorgeous gothic tale with some amazingly dark and twisted turns. It fell under the radar but deserves to be rediscovered as anyone who likes a show about wicked witches can enjoy this one too.
