Soon You’ll Be Able To Meet Captain America At Disneyland

Chris Evans is pretty busy, we imagine, what with being a movie star and needing to get ready to promote “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”  So maybe Disney means you’ll be able to meet the real Captain America! Though to be fair, Steve Rogers is a little serious and square. It’d probably be a lot more fun to shoot the bull with Clint Barton (as he’s currently being written in his own comic) or Luke Cage.

All jokes aside, visitors to Disneyland will apparently soon be able to meet a Captain America in person. Details are pretty scarce right now, except that the First Avenger will be in the Anaheim park before the April 4 release date of his new flick, and will appear alongside the ongoing Iron Man and Thor exhibits.

Why no love for Cap and the others in Florida? It’s a rights issue, which is to say, it’s because of the deal that Universal struck before Disney purchased Marvel. Unless Universal lets its deal lapse, the House of Mouse can’t use the Marvel super heroes in its parks in Orlando. You can read more about that here.

I don’t get out to Anaheim often, so I doubt I’ll get to see Steve in person. If you do, please don’t tell him I called him square, okay? I’m still a big fan.
