As far as just plain cool ideas for super villains go, Super-Skrull is right up there. The alien warrior (real name: Kl’rt) with the combined powers of the entire Fantastic Four makes for great visuals, and he’d be fun to use in a video game. Conveniently, he’s the newest playable character in “Super Hero Squad Online,” available right now for subscribers only.
If you’ve faced him as the boss in his own mission, you’ve probably got a good idea what to expect. His “Stretchy Crush” power is just what it sounds like thanks to the elasticity of Mr. Fantastic, and the Thing’s strength provides the muscle for “Earth Rend.” I’d bet good money he shoots flame during his basic attacks too.
Next up is a Heroes for Hire week, and the devs have been teasing the arrival of one of the most requested characters in the game’s history, one that had been teased as long ago as Comic Con 2011. I’m not sure who it is, but considering the theme and the fact that Luke Cage is already in the game, I’d say Iron Fist is looking pretty good.
Keep an eye on the News section at HeroUp.com this week and see if I got that one right.
