Batman vs. Superman reportedly scrapping footage shot in late 2013

Fans are waiting for cameras to get rolling on Zack Snyder’s Batman vs. Superman but that’s not expected to happen until later in the year. There were reports that footage had already been shot in late 2013 but a new scoop states that this footage will be scrapped as part of the new re-writes coming to the film.
According to Batman on Film, the footage shot at a Los Angeles college football game in fall 2013 will be scrapped and won’t make it to the final cut of the movie.
Per Batman on Film:
"Now, I specified Michigan shooting above, because we know a scene has already been shot in Los Angeles. However, with Chris Terrio now [re-writing the film], that footage is likely scrapped. There was speculation that everything up to the point of Terrio taking over had been scrapped as well (including Batsuit and Batmobile) but that does not appear to be the case."
This shows us two things, the first of which is the scene probably wasn’t that significant if it has been lopped off already. But the real thing to take away from this is the story is clearly changing as something that has been shot has already been cut and there don’t seem to be any plans to re-film it.
