10. “Live to Rise” – Soundgarden – “The Avengers”

Aside from just being a kick-ass song when it hits the screen during the credits, this was the first new song that Soundgarden recorded after doing some reassembling of their own after the members had gone their separate ways in 1997. It’s perfect for “The Avengers” too, considering you hear it when you’re still pumped up by what you just saw.

“Live to Rise” never quite cracked the Billboard Hot 100, stalling out in the “Bubbling Up” section just outside the chart. It did make it to #1 on the Mainstream Rock chart though, and that’s good enough for us.
