Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game given UK and US release date

The Batman Arkham video game series is the reigning champion of super-hero video games. Amazing Spider-Man came close but ultimately failed to match up to its DC counterpart. However this year excitement for Amazing Spider-Man 2 is building as game developers Beenox look to improve upon their open world, third-person action Spider-Man game.

The game, which boasts a new morality system which allows the player to either be a ‘hero’ or a ‘menace’ with the players actions effecting what happens in the game. There will also be new crimes to thwart such as hostage situations and arson with players given the choice to help or to shirk Spider-Man’s great responsibility.

And now Activision and Beenox have revealed that the Amazing Spider-Man movie tie-in game will be available in America from April 29th, whilst those in the UK will have to wait a couple of more days until the 2nd of May, which is coincidentally the same day Amazing Spider-Man 2 comes out in US cinemas. Funny that!

The game will be available on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, 3DS and PC.
