Spidey clashes with Electro in tense new Amazing Spider-Man 2 clip

Electro during his first confrontation with Spider-Man in Times Square

We’ve seen the two come to blows before in the trailers but this latest clip from Mark Webb’s Amazing Spider-Man 2 appears to be the first time that Spider-Man and Jamie Foxx’s Electro meet. What follows is a tense stand-off between the two in Times Square with Spider-Man trying to talk Max Dillon down diplomatically to avoid a confrontation.

As you can see the movie seems to be portraying Max Dillon as a tragic character who isn’t fully aware of what’s happening to him following his accident involving electric eels. Spider-Man tries to reassure him but the presence of police snipers means that obviously this wasn’t going to end well.
