Norman Osborn on his death-bed in Amazing Spider-Man 2
The last thing you’d expect in the morning is for your box of cereal to scream out a movie spoiler, imagine as you pour cornflakes into your bowl the box screams out “Darth Vader is Luke’s father” or something. But this actually happened recently with Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Kellogs.
The giant cereal company recently ran three television spots in order to advertise its Amazing Spider-Man 2 Web-Slinging game. These videos were narrated by none other than Stan Lee, who I consider to be the messiah of Marvel. However that fact would be overshadowed by the revelation of a major death.
If you want to avoid spoilers I’d suggest you don’t watch the video below, but I’d imagine most of you will know this by now.
So there you have it, this video clear as day announces that Norman Osborn, the COO of OsCorp and the original Green Goblin has died and is survived by his only son Harry Osborn who is also his sole heir to the company. The death of Norman was hinted at by Chris Cooper, but now it appears that it happens fairly early on in the film and also seems to dispel any chance that we’ll see Norman become the Green Goblin.
