Promo Photo of Gotham’s Alfred Pennyworth

Warner Bros. Television has released a promotional photo of Sean Pertwee as the new television series Gotham’s Alfred Pennyworth on the official Gotham Tumblr page. See IGN reporter Eric Goldman’s article on the latest Gotham promo photo. Gotham’s Alfred is going to be tougher, an ex-marine and closer to the Alfred we have been seeing lately, in things like Batman: Earth One and Beware the Batman, minus the cane or gun. Being that Alfred is going to be from East London don’t be surprised when he doesn’t have quite the sophisticated accent you are used to hearing.

If the last name of Pertwee sounds familiar that is because Sean Pertwee is the son of Doctor Who actor John Pertwee who played the third Doctor.

Sean looks great as Alfred and I love the costume choice they have made for him, very cool. Can we talk about the backdrops of these promo photos for a minute? They are just too cool, finally a live action Gotham that looks only like the city of Gotham and not like New York with Batman characters in it.
