An Assassin Takes Control Of Her Own Life In Elektra #1
By Nick Tylwalk
Elektra Natchios has been a pawn of several different forces during the course of her life as an assassin, but now she’s cutting loose from her past and the Marvel universe is about to learn how beautiful and deadly she can really be.
That’s the set-up for Elektra #1, coming your way next month from writer Haden Blackman and artist Mike Del Mundo. Marvel is teasing “deadly threats and lethal foes” to face the woman with the sai, though none may prove as deadly as the Frank Miller creation herself.
“If anything, we’ll be putting Elektra into even more precarious situations,” Blackman said in an interview with Marvel.com. “Not only will she be risking her life, but it’s finally her life; she’s no longer answering to anyone and is now striking out on her own to figure out who she is and what she wants, so she has even more to lose than ever before.”
Peep the cover and some pages from Del Mundo, along with variant covers by Paolo Rivera, Bill Sienkiewicz and Skottie Young, and look for Elektra #1 at your LCS or on digital on April 23.
