Get To Know Uatu In Original Sin #0 Before Fate Comes Calling For Him

Who watches the Watcher? Soon everyone will, because Uatu’s untimely demise is at the very heart of Marvel’s next event, Original Sin. As the entity that has been keeping an eye on Earth throughout the company’s history, he knows the darkest secrets of even the bravest heroes. And once he’s gone, it’s quite possible that those secrets have fallen into the wrong hands.

Before we reach that point, writer Mark Waid and artist Jim Cheung have one last important tale from Uatu’s life in Original Sin #0. Nova has one last encounter with the Watcher that will have a lasting impact on him, as well as getting readers properly prepared for what’s to come.

“If you know nothing about Uatu, or you’re not up on what his deal is right now, the story in Original Sin #0 will give you all of the information you need,” Marvel Executive Editor Tom Brevoort said in an interview with Marvel.com. “[Presented] in the context of an emotionally affecting story featuring the Watcher and Nova – and leave you ready for him to turn up as a cold, dead corpse in Original Sin #1 and understand why that is so very unsettling and dangerous a situation.”
