Louisville Down, St. Louis Up Next For Wizard World
By Nick Tylwalk
With so many shows in the lineup for 2014, Wizard World conventions are going to come fast and furious now that they’ve started in earnest for the year. Case in point: the inaugural Louisville show just took place this past weekend, and the scene is already shifting to St. Louis for April 4 through April 6.
The St. Louis Comic Con has had a few guests cancel due to scheduling conflicts but still boasts a full roster of pop culture and comic book names. Highlights include Doctor Who stars Matt Smith and Karen Gillan, Castle and Firefly star Nathan Fillion, noted genre actors William Shatner and Bruce Campbell and wrestler/rocker Chris Jericho. On the comic book side, Greg Capullo, Ethan Van Sciver, Salvador Larroca, Neal Adams, Mike Grell, David Mack and Chris Samnee are just a few of the creators scheduled to attend.
I used to be a regular at the Philadelphia Wizard World stop until life (and E3!) got in the way. For a taste of what the Louisville show was like, check out this report from William Cripps at our sister site, 1428 Elm. St. Louis Comic Con is taking place at the America’s Center in St. Louis starting this Friday at 3 pm.
