The Illuminati Face The Music In Avengers #29

Iron Man, Mr. Fantastic, Black Bolt, Dr. Strange, Black Panther, Namor and the Beast may have thought they were doing everyone in the Marvel Universe a favor by keeping their group a secret while fending off extra-dimensional incursions, and they probably were. But whether they called themselves the Illuminati or the New Avengers, they had to know there was a price to pay for some of the things they’ve done along the way — not the least of which was erasing the memories of Steve Rogers, better known as Captain America.

In Avengers #29, the secrets of the Illuminati begin to be revealed, placing Rogers at odds with Tony Stark once again. Last time this happened, it meant Civil War, but with the Watcher dead and all of his information in the hands of his killer, the stakes are even higher this time. What will happen when Cap finds out he was betrayed by some of the most prominent members of the super hero community?
