A Mark Ruffalo Hulk Solo Film Could Be In The Works After Avengers: Age Of Ultron

So says Lou Ferrigno, the one-time Hulk who provides the grunts and growls for the character in Marvel’s current films. Latino Review caught him during a radio interview in Minnesota giving this money quote:

"Now because he saved the day they’re making another solo Hulk movie after the second Avengers comes out."

I’m certainly not man enough to argue with the former Mr. Universe about the Hulk saving the day, though he certainly gave the Avengers some much-needed muscle in the Battle of New York — and his thrashing of Loki was simply awesome. What was even more enjoyable was Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner; I’d even go so far as to say he was a revelation in The Avengers.

Ruffalo would be the third different person to play Banner in a Hulk solo flick, but I think audiences would be ready for it after a second chance to see him do his thing in Avengers: Age of Ultron. So far the only confirmed Marvel Phase Three movies are Ant-Man (coming out in July 2015) and the sure-to-be-named-something-else Captain America 3 (tentatively scheduled for May 2016), so there’s plenty of room to fit the Green Goliath in there somewhere.

Of course there’s every chance this is just wishful thinking on Ferrigno’s part, but I hope not. Come on Marvel, free Mark Ruffalo!
