The Flash Officially Ordered For The CW Fall Schedule
By Nick Tylwalk
Arrow is getting some more DC super heroic company this fall.
The CW made it official today, announcing that it had picked up The Flash for its 2014-15 schedule. It was an expected move considering that the accident that transformed Barry Allen (played by Grant Gustin) was incorporated into an episode of Arrow, but one never knows for sure until the networks reveal their plans to the media.
The Scarlet Speedster isn’t the only DC comics property joining CW’s lineup either. The network also ordered iZombie, based on the Vertigo comic by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, to series for the fall.
Now the only remaining question is whether CW execs will team Arrow and The Flash together to make one evening (probably Wednesday, where Arrow already airs) its official super hero night. The show that originally followed Arrow, The Tomorrow People was canceled, but its more recent replacement The 100 was renewed for next season.
We’ll know more about scheduling details next week, as The CW is set to make its upfront presentation on May 15.
