First Arkham Knight Gameplay Trailer Shows Off Batmobile, More

The anticipation for Rocksteady’s next (and last) Arkham game keeps building, and the studio added some fuel to the fire today with a new trailer giving the world a look at gameplay footage for the first time. It was known that Batman: Arkham Knight would place a heavy emphasis on the Batmobile, but now we finally see it action, able to drive on the ceilings of tunnels and launch Batman out into action.

In addition to quick glimpses of Barbara and Jim Gordon, we also go up close with a heavily armored Batsuit and get just a taste of the series’ always excellent melee combat. The only discouraging note comes at the very end, where the game is described as “Coming Soon,” perhaps giving credence to reports that we won’t be seeing it until 2015.

That could be a long wait for a truly next-gen Batman video game experience, but all signs point to Rocksteady going out with a bang on this one. Enjoy the trailer, and make sure to visit our sister site Caped Crusades to fully immerse yourself in all thing Batman.
