Petition to get Youtuber Sally LoMonaco cast as Mary Jane

Just when you thought Spider-Man couldn’t be the target of another petition it turned out that you were wrong. Sure the first two are about deleted scenes from Amazing Spider-Man 2, and deleted scenes from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 but this next petition is about getting a certain person cast as a certain MJ.

Who should play Mary Jane? Well the answer is obvious isn’t it. Sally LoMonaco from Youtube channel The Reel Rejects. Essentially she’s a film reviewer and all-round genuine red-head. Well, Spider-Man afficionado Sevenwebheads has teamed up with Sally to mount a campaign to get Sally cast as Mary Jane. Here’s a video from Sally on Seven’s channel.

I remain sceptical that any sort of petition to cast a relative unknown as a major character for a film studio’s biggest and only blockbuster franchise will have zero influence at all. But with that being said it’s a fun little campaign and at the very least it draws some attention towards Sevenwebheads, which is a great Spider-Man site and The Reel Rejects, which is a fun Youtube channel.

And who knows, it might even get Sally an audition at the very least. So here’s the petition, sign it if you wish.
