Marvel Heroes 2015 Arrives On June 4

Oh no! Is date creep infecting super hero games the way it does for sports titles?

Apparently so, but it’s still welcome news that Marvel Heroes 2015 is arriving for PC on June 4, the same date the game will enter open beta on Mac. Described as “a new launch for the Marvel Heroes brand,” its release is timed to coincide with the first anniversary of the original game.

“Marvel Heroes 2015 nicely represents everything we have accomplished and intend to accomplish with one name,” Gazillion CEO David Brevik said in a press release. “We’ve come a very long way since our original launch a year ago, and the now imminent release of Marvel Heroes 2015 alongside our massive anniversary celebrations marks the beginning of something even better. Whether it’s defending the X-Mansion or recruiting your favorite superhero as a Team-Up, we’re excited to continue delivering on our community’s expectations. We truly believe we put more improvements into our game than any other iterative release out there. The 2015 moniker reaffirms our commitment to keep doing it.”

New content highlights include alternate advancement systems and an end-game raid against the Norse fire demon Surtur. You can get a glimpse of the big guy in the teaser trailer below, which should get you fired up for the new launch next week.
