Superhero Night at Royals/Cardinals Game!

On top of being a huuuuge comic book geek, I’m a die-hard Kansas City Royals fan. Living in Columbia, MO I’m equidistant from KC and St. Louis, so I have to deal with a lot of Cardinals fans. A lot of my good friends are such fans, but I’m also fortunate to have some Royals kids around. Though I’ve been a fan my whole life, I’ve never actually seen a game in hostile territory. They didn’t even start interleague play until I was a teen, so it had rarely come up.
Well, last night was Superhero Night at Busch Stadium in St. Louis and I had the night off. It was kismet.

Little kids got capes, adults got Clark Kent-type shirts shot into the crowd with a giant slingshot by Batman, and the Royals won by a score of 8-7. You can’t beat that with a stick. Sadly, the bat boy did not dress accordingly.
