Red Skull And Arnim Zola May Finally Have Defeated Steve Rogers In Captain America #22

Considering how many battles he’s fought for his country, the world and the entire Marvel Universe, Steve Rogers has an almost flawless record of coming out on top. Even the Red Skull and Arnim Zola haven’t been able to keep him down for long, but now two of Captain America’s greatest foes might finally have him in a situation even he can’t escape.

At least writer Rick Remender and artist Carlos Pacheco have Cap in a pretty desperate predicament in the new arc “The Tomorrow Soldier” that kicks off in Captain America #22. With the Super-Soldier Serum neutralized, Rogers is stuck with the body of an old man. Having already been put through the psychological wringer, is it possible for Captain America to carry on ? Um … It’s not looking good.

Steve does have some pretty smart friends in the Avengers, but it’s not clear even they’re going to be able to get him out of this one, as you can see in the preview pages below.
