SDCC 2014: AFX Exclusive Flashpoint Batman And Reverse-Flash Busts Available For Pre-Order

It’s about that time of the year, and by that I mean time for the cool San Diego Comic-Con exclusive swag to go up for pre-order. Action Figure Express is gearing up with the first of its exclusives: Flashpoint Batman and Reverse-Flash busts by Monogram.

The busts come together as a set for $50, and are limited to just 1000 pieces.  Hand-painted and made from polyresin, they stand roughly 5.25 inches tall, and while the box they come in suggests they could be used as paperweights, I’d be curious to know if any comic fans actually use them in that manner.

For those unfamiliar with Flashpoint, it’s the story that ended the DC Universe as we knew it prior to 2011 and gave us the New 52 continuity in its place, which could be good or bad depending on your personal preferences. Reverse-Flash was central to the plot, as it was his messing with the Flash’s past that altered the world to create the Flashpoint timeline. In addition, it is Thomas Wayne who becomes Batman following the death of his son Bruce, and he’s the man behind the cowl in this bust.

All that really matters is that both these characters will look cool on your desk, bookshelf or wherever you choose to plunk them down. You can pre-order them now to pick them up at the AFX booth at Comic-Con; everyone else will have to hope they don’t sell out, in which case they will go up on ShopAFX.com after the show.
