Bryan Singer Shows First Page Of X-Men: Apocalypse Script On Instagram
By Nick Tylwalk
Say this for Bryan Singer: even though he hasn’t officially been attached to the next X-Men film in any capacity other than producer, he sure knows how to get fans of the franchise fired up.
And how could X-Men fans not be excited when Singer posts this on his brand new Instagram account?
That is exactly what it looks like, which is to say the first page of a script treatment for X-Men: Apocalypse by Singer, Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris. Various folks have already pointed out that it immediately calls to mind the post-credits scene from X-Men: Days of Future Past, one that was explained in great detail by our own Christina Roberts.
It was also pretty slick the way Singer managed to position that part of the page in a way that the reference to “THE FOUR HORSEMEN” was clearly visible. Your eye is just drawn to it.
In any case, Singer managed to get himself a few thousand followers on Instagram already just off the strength of that single post, and more will undoubtedly follow if he decides to share more tidbits from X-Men: Apocalypse. While his legal troubles may prevent him from directing the movie on Fox’s desired timeframe, it appears the script is going in a fan-friendly direction regardless. Is it too early to get excited for a movie that isn’t due in theaters until 2016?
