Looking for something a little different out of your San Diego Comic-Con exclusive swag? How about a glow-in-the dark guitar?
It’s certainly not the normal collectible, but it’s pretty awesome since it features the artwork of original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The Limited Edition 2014 Comic-Con Eastman/Laird Rockmaster guitar features Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael in glow-in-the-dark paint on a basswood body topped with a high gloss finish. The folks at Peavey who cooked it up say the construction provides “excellent balance, playability and tone,” and since I never learned to shred, I’m taking them at their word.
The guitar costs $275 and comes with a cable, strap and picks. It’s available only for pickup at the Action Figure Express booth (# 3345) at Comic-Con, and as an added bonus, Eastman will sign the guitar for free at booth # 1529.
Any remaining pieces will go up for sale at ShopAFX.com once the show is over, but since only 100 of the guitars are being made and the last Peavey SDCC exclusive sold out in less than 24 hours, there’s not much chance of that happening. Head online to pre-order one now if you’ve got a spot in your collection for some glowing turtles who know how to rock.
