Marvel To Reveal New “Thundering” Title July 15 On The View

From the “Wait, that can’t be right!” file comes this: Marvel is planning on announcing a new title this Tuesday, July 15, on The View.

Yes, this is the same show that is described as “the original forum in which real women discuss everyday issues, share their opinions and engage in colorful conversations.” And while there are obviously many female comic book fans, it does raise some interesting questions about what this new title is about and whether the outlet chosen for its unveiling is designed specifically to seek out a female audience.

The lone clue we got is in the title of Marvel’s press release, which is the word “thundering.” So … another Thor series? Thunderbolts? Thunderbolt Ross?

We’re guessing it has something to do with Thor, perhaps a different look at Asgard than the current Thor: God of Thunder ongoing series. There’s only going to be one way to be sure, which means that I may be watching The View on Tuesday, and no, you can’t give me a hard time about it, as it’ll be part of my job.
