SDCC 2014: Marvel Releases Full Panel Schedule

San Diego Comic-Con is coming up fast, and Marvel is planning on doing it big. Today the company released its full panel schedule, and it’s no exaggeration to say that it’s packed with something for everyone: comics, movies, TV and more.
For announcements, big reveals, special guests and surprises, these are going to be the sessions to see. And yes, a company like Marvel has too much going on at Comic-Con for people to see it all, but we can give you the whos, whats and whens so you can absorb as much as possible.
All guests, times and locations are subject to change, but here’s what is slated for this year:
Marvel Comic-Con International: San Diego 2014 Panel Schedule
Thursday, July 24
What: Breaking into Comics the Marvel Way
When: 10 am – 11 am PDT
Where: Room 7AB
Who: Editor in Chief Axel Alonso, talent scout C.B. Cebluski and assorted Marvel talent
Why: To learn what it takes to start a career in comics, Marvel style.
What: House of Ideas
When: 1 pm – 2 pm PDT
Where: Room 7AB
Who: Executive editorial director of digital (that’s a long title!) Ryan Penagos
Why: To find out what Marvel has going on with its various digital initiatives, including the Marvel Comics app, Marvel AR, Marvel.com and its social media accounts.
What: Avengers & X-Men: AXIS
When: 4:30 pm – 5 pm PDT
Where: Room 6DE
Who: Alonso, executive editor Mike Marts, senior editor Nick Lowe, writer Rick Remender and other special guests
Why: To learn more about Marvel’s biggest event of the year, pitting its two most prominent super teams against a frighteningly powerful Red Skull.
Friday, July 25
What: Spider-Verse
When: 10 am – 11 am PDT
Where: Room 6DE
Who: Lowe and writers Dan Slott and Mark Waid
Why: To figure out how all the spider-powered characters across every reality in the Marvel Universe can be coming together by asking the people creating this epic story.
What: Avengers NOW!
When: 12:45 pm – 1:45 pm PDT
Where: Room 6BCF
Who: Alonso, Remender, writer Jason Aaron and more
Why: To answer the question of whether a female Thor, a Falcon-turned-Captain America and an egotistical Iron Man are only the beginning of the changes in store for the Avengers this fall.
What: Marvel Television Presents
When: 3 pm – 4 pm PDT
Where: Ballroom 20
Who: Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb and the casts of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter
Why: To get some minor spoilers for Marvel’s TV shows for the fall.
Saturday, July 26
What: Marvel Animation Presents!
When: 10:30 am – 11:30 am PDT
Where: Room 6BCF
Who: Loeb, Stephen Wacker, Cort Lane and Eric Radomski
Why: To get the skinny on Avengers Assemble, Hulk & The Agents of S.M.A.S.H. and Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors. Also to see a very special surprise that may justify the exclamation point in this panel’s title.
What: Marvel Video Games
When: 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm PDT
Where: Room 6A
Who: The whole Marvel Games team
Why: Because you like Marvel video games? Also, to get in on the “COOLEST GIVEAWAY we’ve ever given out” (emphasis Marvel’s).
What: Cup O’ Joe
When: 2:45 pm – 3:45 pm PDT
Where: Room 6 BCF
Who: Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada, Alonso, Cebulski, Lowe, Slott, editor Jordan D. White, writer Brian Michael Bendis, and more
Why: To see if all these guys can actually fit on one stage, and to get a “no-holds-barred exposé on everything Marvel.”
What: Marvel Studios
When: 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm PDT
Where: Hall H
Who: Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Fiege, and hopefully some other people
Why: To say you got in even though you probably won’t. There are some movies coming out you may have heard something about.
Sunday, July 27
What: Marvel Unlimited Plus Members Only Panel
When: 10 am – 11 am PDT
Where: Indigo Ballroom at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel
Who: Penagos, Aaron, Simone Bianchi, Gerry Duggan, Todd Nauck and more
Why: To get some extra value out of that Marvel Unlimited Plus membership, and to enjoy sneak peeks, a Q&A session and free stuff.
What: Women of Marvel
When: 11:15 am – 12:15 PM PDT
Where: Room 5AB
Who: A host of Marvel’s most talented female staffers, plus Alonso, who isn’t (female, that is)
Why: To find out what it’s like working as a woman in the modern comics industry and what the future holds
What: Next Big Thing
When: 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm PDT
Where: Room 6DE
Who: Marts, Lowe, Duggan, Waid and writer Charles Soule
Why: To be in the loop on Death of Wolverine, the aftermath of Original Sin and the next Marvel events waiting just over the horizon.
