Merch Victory: Toy Tokyo’s Exclusive Red Batmobile

On July 8, Toy Tokyo Exclusive released a limited edition red Funko Pop Batman ’66 Batmobile.  Only 300 were sold, some in store and some online.  Needless to say, that kind of limited sale gets one’s collecting mania going.

As soon as I found out when it would be sold, I knew I had to have it.  Running at a total of $66.69 with shipping, the figure is pretty steep for a Funko Pop, but as you can see, for this collector, it was totally worth it.

The promotional picture is a little closer to the true colors (my poor old camera can only do so much), but this gives you a good idea of how it looks when not in studio lighting.  The car is a vibrant red and Batman’s costume is bright blue and green.  It makes me think of some other Earth’s Batman, maybe from some more alien planet!  In any case, this Batman is a fantastic addition to my collection and I’m so happy I managed to snag him.  He even gets to hang out with his normal-colored counterpart!
