Chris Terrio Will Write Justice League
By Steve Lam
Hollywood Reporter has brought us news that Chris Terrio will be coming back to write Justice League. Most of the time, it’s a good sign for a franchise when talent is retained. Going by that logic, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice may be a force to be reckoned with in the Summer of 2016.
Terrio was brought on to rewrite the screenplay for Dawn of Justice from an original draft by David S. Goyer. Sources say that his revision of Dawn of Justice impressed major stakeholders of the film so much that it led them to rehire him for Justice League. It’s completely unknown what the Justice League story will be about, except, of course, it’ll involve the most legendary superheroes of all time.
Chris Terrio is an Academy Award-winning screenwriter who won in the category of Best Adapted Screenplay for the critically-acclaimed box-office hit Argo (2012). Along with that award, he also received other accolades for his writing of the film, including Best Adapted Screenplay at the Writers Guild of America Awards. Aside from his scribe skills, Terrio is also a director. In 2005, he wrote and directed the feature film Heights. And in 2010, he directed Episode 8 of Season 3’s Damages on FX.
There is no official date for Justice League yet, but rumored reports point to a May 2017 release. Zack Snyder has already signed on to direct.
