Guardians Of The Galaxy Collections Up To 50 Percent Off On Comixology

If you want to read up on the Guardians of the Galaxy to find out why a talking raccoon and a giant tree are helping to save the Marvel Cinematic Universe before you head to see the movie later this week, we’ve got some ideas on where you can start. Comixology is doing its part to help, too, putting digital collections of Guardians comics on sale for up to 50 percent off through 11 pm on August 3.

The big one here is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1: Legacy, which collects the first six issues of the Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning run from 2008 that set the core of the team as it will appear on the big screen. It’s actually $3.99 right now, which is more than 50 percent off by my reckoning, but I wasn’t a math major in college.

The sale is also heavy on Rocket Raccoon and Groot, which makes sense as they’re expected to be the breakout characters from the film. The Rocket Raccoon and Groot Ultimate Collection brings together 15 different issues, including the first appearance of Groot from more than 50 years ago, when he wasn’t quite as friendly.
