Can’t Miss: The First Avengers Movie Transformed Into An 8-Bit Video Game
By Nick Tylwalk
Impossible, you say? Not for CineFix, who make this the latest and probably most awesome addition to its 8-Bit Cinema series to date if you’re a comic book fan.
The crazy part isn’t how David Dutton manages to transform the Avengers into 8-bit versions of themselves, but the fact that he manages to squeeze in all of the action-oriented beats of the movie in less than three minutes. If you’ve got a favorite scene that involves more than just dialogue, there’s an above average chance it’s in this clip. The part that has the player mashing a button to help Iron Man get the Helicarrier engine going again is a personal favorite.
Even Thanos shows up, in a more full-bodied cameo than he makes in the film.
I was a big fan of Mega Man and similar games in this style when I was a kid, and an Avengers title would have made my head explode. Also, there would have been some spoilers for a movie coming more than 25 years later, but I would have been okay with that, under the circumstances.
Watch and enjoy!
