Deadline brings us news that Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has added another role to it’s Season Two roster.  Simon Kassianides will have a recurring role as Bakshi.  The character of Bakshi is described as “a confident right-hand man who’s not afraid to do the dirty work.”  It’s unknown who he’s allied with — it could be the stripped down S.H.I.E.L.D., the evil and undying Hydra, or a completely new organization with different objectives.

Simon Kassianides is an English actor who made his television debut in 2004 as Steve Lyon in the BBC One series Casualty.  Soon after that, he made appearances on a number of hit British and American shows which included Ultimate Force, Spooks, The Passion, The Fixer, Hustle, Law and Order UK, Nikita, and Burn Notice.  He was also in the 2009 James Bond installment Quantum of Solace as Yusef Kabira.  Aside from acting, Kassianides is also a film director, producer, and screenwriter.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. currently stars Clark Gregg as Director Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Grant Ward, Chloe Bennett as Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, and Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons.

ABC will premiere Season Two of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on Tuesday, September 23rd at 9/8c.
