Guardians of the Galaxy Sixth Scale Figures From Hot Toys: Rocket, Groot And Star-Lord
By Nick Tylwalk
I’m sure you’re a big Guardians of the Galaxy fan. You’ve been to see the movie three times already, including once on opening night, and you’ve named your pet hamster Rocket in honor of that crack by the Nova Corps pilot.
But if you’re a really big fan, then you’ve got to be eyeing up the Sixth Scale Figures from Hot Toys. The company had previously showed off its Rocket and Groot set, and it also unveiled a Star-Lord piece a few weeks ago at Comic-Con.
Let’s start with Rocket and Groot. The former comes with his signature large gun and several pairs of interchangeable hands, while the latter comes with several spare hands (including one to help simulate Groot releasing his light-up spores) and a swappable angry head. Because even though “We are Groot,” that doesn’t apply to the bad guys.
As for Star-Lord, his figure includes a number of accessories. He’s got the orb that has everyone all hot and bothered during the movie, a pair of element guns and his precious headphones. You can display him with or without his mask, but since the masked head has light-up LED features, it’s going to be a tough choice between looking at the lights or a face based on the handsome mug of Chris Pratt.
All the figures are expected in March 2015, so you’ve got some time to save your pennies. Rocket and Groot come as a pair for $359.99, while Star-Lord is $234.99, though Sideshow Collectibles has payment plans for them if you pre-order.
Anyone want to make a little side wager on Drax and Gamora figures showing up so Guardians of the Galaxy fanatics can complete the set?
