Un-boxing of Bandai’s Sprukits Man of Steel Superman Model Kit
Greetings comic book fans, I have a special article for your viewing pleasure. I’m the co-editor of Bam Smack Pow’s sister site Caped Crusades and after reporting on a new Arkham City Batman action figure model kit from Sprukits by Bandai I was contacted by a representative of the company and offered a free sample model to try out for myself. See the un-boxing of my Arkham City Batman Sprukit here. Well, along with the Arkham City Batman kit I was sent a kit for a Man of Steel Superman model figure. So here it is, my un-boxing of Bandai’s Sprukits Man of Steel Superman action figure model kit.

The Superman kit is a little different than the Batman one as it includes a few stickers to add a few details and the Batman kit had no stickers. This kit was just as fun to assemble as the other, though I have one small complaint. When putting together the pieces of Superman’s neck I made a small mistake and put the joint piece on backwards and because it is such a small piece fitting into a tight spot I was unable to undo my mistake and now his neck doesn’t quite fit together properly. I fully admit that this was my mistake, I didn’t look at the directions carefully enough; my complaint is that such a mistake should be easily fixed, and it’s not. However, if you just make sure to pay close attention to the directions which are full of visual aids, you shouldn’t make the same mistake I did and most of the other parts come apart quite readily if you put them together wrong.
I still recommend that anyone with an interest in comics and model kits get these as mistakes are easily avoided and it was still quite fun to put together. There is something very satisfying about seeing each figure come together from such tiny little pieces as is the click they make when snapped together. I want to thank Bandai and Sarah (the woman who sent me the samples) for giving me these samples which gave me this great opportunity to try out and review the Batman and Superman Sprukits.
The following pages are a slideshow of the assembly process, from what the kit looked like right out of the box to the finished figure.
