Comixology’s Marvel Monday: 40 Spider-Man Comics For 99 Cents Each
By Nick Tylwalk
It’s actually 43 Spider-Man comics for 99 cents each, but 40 just sounded like a much nicer, rounder number for a title. Not that I have anything against prime numbers, mind you.
Anyway, the latest Comixology sale puts your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man in the spotlight, flashing back about a decade or so in the process. Included in the sale are all 22 issues of Marvel Knights Spider-Man, featuring three arcs written by Mark Millar, and a chunk of the Spider-Man: The Other crossover that could provide some good background reading for the upcoming Spider-Verse event since they both feature the same villain, Morlun.
That same series then became Sensational Spider-Man for the remainder of its run, all of which is included in the sale (the series ended at issue #41, but the inclusion of two decimal issues gets us to 43 total). It ends on an infamous note, with part three of “One More Day,” otherwise known as the story that ended the relationship of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson forever for the sake of Aunt May’s life. Mephisto is prominently involved.
In any case, this Comixology sale is only for one day, ending at 11 pm Eastern tonight, so swing on over now if you want to take advantage of it.
