As fans prepare for Season Two of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel Entertainment has released an official synopsis for the premiere episode titled Shadows:
"Coulson and his team are now wanted fugitives with limited resources–but that’s not stopping them from keeping the world safe from powerful and unseen threats everywhere. However, with new members they hardly know, will S.H.I.E.L.D. ever be trusted again? Watch “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” on the ABC Television Network.“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons and Nick Blood as Lance Hunter.Guest starring are B.J. Another key thing to take away from this synopsis is that Hayley Atwell will be guest starring as Peggy Carter. It’s unknown if Atwell will be playing Carter in flashback scenes (when she’s still a young agent), or as an elderly woman confined to a hospital bed (a la Captain America: The Winter Soldier). Whatever the form of her appearance, we know that Marvel is certainly using this opportunity to gear up excitement for ABC’s newest Marvel Cinematic Universe series — Agent Carter.
ABC will premiere Season Two of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on Tuesday, September 23rd at 9/8c and debut Agent Carter in January 2015 when Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. goes on a mid-season break.
