New Big Hero 6 Trailer: More Than Just Hiro And Baymax

Disney has released a brand new full length trailer for Big Hero 6, and it gives us a glimpse into a lot more of the upcoming animated film’s world. Specifically, it reveals that Hiro Hamada didn’t create his robot companion Baymax, who was actually invented by Hiro’s older, possibly deceased older brother. With its creator gone, Baymax is trying to carry out his programming to “heal the sick and injured.”

Obviously, an attack by a super villain in a kabuki mask forces the robot into a more active role. We also learn that Hiro was the motivating factor in turning his group of nerdy friends into unlikely super heroes, though it appears they might get off to a rough start.

As for Baymax, he doesn’t really have it in him to be an action hero at first, but he’s eventually able to function as an important and dynamic part of the team. Check out all of these aspects and plenty of new footage in the trailer below. Big Hero 6, very loosely based on the Marvel team of the same name, hits theaters on November 7.
