Superhero Halloween Costumes State to State
I was recently contacted by HalloweenCostumes.com, it seems that like Spirit Halloween they have seen my articles on Batman character Halloween costumes. They sent me a link to their blog, specifically to a post called Superheroes by state which talks about which superhero costumes are most popular to wear for Halloween in each U.S. state. It even includes this lovely interactive map, just click on the image below to be taken to the interactive version:
Technically Batman is number one in all fifty states, but I guess that wouldn’t have made for a very interesting interactive map! Here’s a little from the blog post itself, written by Ryan Heuer:

We’ve generated a map of the favorite superheroes in the United States, state-by-state. Any guesses as to who takes the cake cape?While it may not be the jaw-dropping answer you were looking for, Batman leads the crusade, winning the top spot in all 50 states! Since we were digging anyway, though, we couldn’t help but notice that some of other classic heroes made the leaderboards in different parts of the country"
It certainly doesn’t surprise this Batman fan that he would be the most popular superhero to dress as for Halloween, after all he is the best superhero out there! In fact I myself once dressed as the Dark Knight for Halloween when i was still a very little girl, you can check out a photo of me in my home-made Batman costume here. I was however, happily surprised to see how popular Harley Quinn is in Arizona, New Mexico and Utah! As a Harley Quinn fan I’m quite pleased with her popularity, though I wish she were more popular here in Missouri, I’m not really a Superman fan, in fact I dislike him quite a bit. Of Course I don’t hold it against all the kids out there who want to dress as Superman, they still look awfully cute after all!
