Dawn Of Justice Rumor: First Teaser Trailer Could Be Around The Corner

With comic fanboys’ heart rates just coming back down to normal after Marvel’s Wednesday surprise teaser release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Batman on Film is reporting a rumor that the first teaser trailer for 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice might be released around November or December.  It’s unknown which movie it’ll be attached too, but heavy speculation has been pointing to The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies being released on December 17, 2014.  Reason being: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is being made by New Line, and New Line is Warner Brothers’ sister company.

Past patterns for teaser trailers in WB/DC’s world have usually been one year ahead of their films’ release dates.  Having Dawn of Justice‘s teaser released in November or December only makes it fifteen to sixteen months ahead —  so it’s not that much of a difference.  Am I the only one chanting, “Please pull a Marvel!  Please pull a Marvel!  Please pull a Marvel!”

Sources of the rumor are also saying that the teaser has already been completed and is ready to go, and that it will heavily feature Batman.  What are your guesses?  Which other soon-to-be-released films do you think the teaser will be attached to?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has a United States release date of March 25, 2016.  It will be directed by Zack Snyder, written by Chris Terrio from a story by David Goyer and Zack Snyder, and will star Henry Cavill as Clark Kent / Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Tao Okamoto as Mercy Graves, Holly Hunter as a United States Senator, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone / Cyborg, and Callan Mulvey and Scoot McNairy in unspecified roles.
