The Worthy: Six Other Heroes Who Have Lifted Thor’s Hammer, Mjolnir

First time lifting Mjolnir: JLA/Avengers #4
Am I fudging on the “no alternate realities” rule with this one? Maybe. Did JLA/Avengers really happen? Here’s a better question: who cares? It was four issues of awesomeness illustrated by the master, George Perez, and written by Kurt Busiek in such a way that it featured not just every Avenger and Justice Leaguer ever, but all of the many variations of them as well.
At one point during the final battle, both Thor and Captain America let Superman borrow their trademark accessories, leading to the incredible sight of the Man of Steel charging ahead with both Mjolnir and Cap’s famous shield. Surely, Superman is worthy of the hammer if anyone is.
Actually, maybe not. When Superman went to lift Mjolnir again after the dust had settled, he found himself unable to do so. Thor explained that due to the reality-threatening menace both teams were facing, Odin had temporarily lifted the enchantment. Still, he only did it because he knew the hammer was in good hands, so that counts as Superman being worthy in my book.
