Superman Unchained Recap: Issues 1-8

#4 Bullets (11/6/13)

The fourth installment starts with Lex Luthor telling Jimmy Olsen that he knows how Superman will die.

Wraith and Superman continue to fight off the onslaught of Ascension robots, but Superman is shot by one of the robots and begins to bleed. Wraith then tells Superman that these robots were designed for one purpose: to kill Superman. They then devise a plan on how to stop the robots, while mysterious crystal guy tells Lois that Superman won’t be alive much longer. The man is killed saving Lois from a car crash, but before his death, he gives the crystal to Lois. Shortly after, Lois is captured by Ascension guards and imprisoned.

Elsewhere, Luthor tells Jimmy that he (Jimmy Olsen) will kill Superman. The issue closes with Lois waking up to an Ascension hologram telling her that her father, General Lane, was also its father, and the individual responsible for Ascension.
