Superman Unchained Recap: Issues 1-8

#7 Out of Time (7/2/14)

With General Lane’s anti-Superman army ready to destroy the Fortress of Solitude, Superman hides Lois in a chamber beneath the Fortress. Meanwhile, Batman and Wraith are having a showdown of epic proportions that is highlighted by

Batman crashing his entire arsenal of “Bat-vehicles” into Wraith in an attempt to slow him down.

Back at the Fortress, Superman constructs a pretty kick ass suit of armor and starts unleashing a little havoc of his own on General Lane’s toys. In the Batcave, Wraith proves to be too strong for Batman’s vehicle attack and is able to break free of the wreckage to inflict some superhuman pain on Batman. Wonder Woman steps in just in time to save Batman, but she too is not strong enough to stop Wraith.

Superman puts up a valiant effort, but his fancy suit is no match for Lane’s advanced weaponry. Right as General Lane orders the killing shots be fired at Superman, Lois saves the day by using the crystal. Ripe with anger, Superman destroys the rest of the weaponry and demands General Lane tell him where Wraith is. The issue closes with a pissed off Superman busting in to the Batcave ready to throw down with Wraith once and for all.
