Rumor: Kerry Washington Is Amanda Waller In Suicide Squad?
Has the Suicide Squad movie found their Amanda Waller? Lots of other casting rumors for other roles have bounced around, but this is the first one we’ve heard about the real architect of the Suicide Squad, which is Amanda Waller, the head of A.R.G.U.S. and the person who assembles the Suicide Squad and gives them their deadly assignments.

We’ve got this covered is saying that star of the TV show Scandal, Kerry Washington, is in talks to play Amanda Waller in the film, but notes that it is an unconfirmed rumor at this time. Of course at this time virtually nothing is confirmed about Suicide Squad, but Kerry Washington certainly has the chops to play Waller. Though personally I think The Shield veteran CCH Pounder would’ve been a better choice and especially be closer to how Waller has been traditionally portrayed in the comics and DC animated movies. Again take this as an unconfirmed rumor for now but certainly a positive one. We’ll have to see if it turns out to be true when Suicide Squad starts filming, keep tuned to Caped Crusades for the latest updates!
